GET FIT [BREATH WORK IS CULTIVATIVE WORK]
Inhale deeply through the nose for 4 seconds, and hold for 4 seconds.
Exhale through the mouth for 4 seconds and hold again 4 seconds.
Repeat 30 times!
Air is often taken for granted, and so is the incredible organ the nose is. It doesn’t just allow air into the lungs, it filters it so that only Oxygen is entering and nothing else. It warms it so the oxygen is comfortable in your lungs and easily absorbed into the bloodstream. Your nose is the first filter and the first line of defense!
And yet so many of us often breathe with our mouths and also breathe too shallow, not taking in enough Oxygen, or Prana.
In yoga, Ayurveda, and Indian martial arts, prana (प्राण, prāṇa; the Sanskrit word for breath, "life force", or "vital principle") permeates in reality on all levels.
It appears in various cultures under different names: Chi in Chinese traditions, Ki in Japanese practices, and Mana in Polynesian beliefs. These terms are often rooted in Cultivation, a seemingly lost art of physically and spiritually evolving ones-self through inner and outer self-discipline, as well as a connection with nature, the Earth!
We are not taught much at all about the hue-man body so its with no great surprise that we don’t understand how to breathe or how important it is beyond just the intake of oxygen. Breathe is important to everything we are and everything we do. Research it, study it, practice it!!!
